PRINCIPAL

Following 10 years in the Army and 10 years with a Canadian multinational insurer, by the 1990s I was advising on employee benefits for a wide variety of clients including a Merchant Bank, a Royal College of Medicine and a FTSE 100 mining company. I have worked with hundreds of companies of all sizes, including looking after the benefits programme for the world’s largest privately-owned oil and commodities trader for over 20 years.

In 2008, I sold my advisory company to an actuarial business, where I fulfilled various senior Health and Protection roles until 2018, when this business was sold to Howden Insurance Group, where I was Director of SME Group Risk and Affinity until leaving in 2020 to establish Iain Taylor Consulting (ITC).
